Project overview:

Our Great East Lake project was designed and built in multiple phases, each focused on blending function with the property’s natural beauty.

Phase 1 - prioritized the steep front slope, where we introduced a carefully selected palette of native vegetation. This naturalistic approach stabilized the grade and created a seamless transition to the parking area, ensuring the home sits comfortably within its woodland setting.

Phase 2 - shifted focus to the opposite side of the property where the clients desired more room to gather and entertain. We crafted a larger seating area and reimagined the stairs to create a smooth connection to the neighboring property. Using locally sourced natural stone, we built a timeless space designed for evening enjoyment. Low-voltage lighting was incorporated throughout, balancing safety with a warm, romantic glow that highlights the textures of stone and plantings alike.

Key Features:

  • Native plantings for slope stabilization and natural integration
  • Expanded stone seating area for entertaining
  • Redesigned stair layout for seamless transitions
  • Low-voltage lighting for ambiance and safety

This lakeside landscape now provides a functional, welcoming, and enduring retreat — a place where the natural character of Great East Lake is celebrated in every detail.
